About

comics-bio.gif

Colin Tedford makes nonfiction and humor comics which appear online, in his zine Square Dance and free minicomic Zero, and in newspapers and anthologies. He co-founded and co-organizes the community-minded Trees & Hills Comic Group of VT, NH, & west MA and the positive adult-oriented Offshore Comix, and co-edits the anthologies of both. His work has also appeared in Always Comix, Candy or Medicine, Hot Tea, Cold Water,  Secrets & Lies, and others. He lives in his hometown of Winchester, NH.

Trivia: he was born in Keene, NH in 1977, attended the life-changing Mountain School program in 1994, graduated from Bard College in 2000, and lived in Portland, ME for a couple of years. He has worked in a medical supplies factory, a hotel, a financial aid office, a greyhound track, a non-profit citizen action organization, a greenhouse, two green construction companies, and remotely for a real estate title abstractor. He has worked (very briefly) for an absent-minded Marxist professor with a filing system only that professor knew how to use, and has, along with composer Jacob Feinberg, worked for a cross-dressing stonemason. He is an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, available for weddings and other functions.

As obscure as some of his interests may seem, when you get down to it he thrives on the same things as everyone else, namely food & affection.
