About

comics-bio.gifI live in my hometown of Winchester, NH where I make comics. I started publishing minicomics in 2005; my strip Spinning World has appeared in the monthly Commons since Spring 2007. I co-founded the Trees & Hills Comic Group in February 2006 with Daniel Barlow; I’ve co-edited every Trees & Hills anthology since. In 2009 I co-founded Offshore Comix with Daniel Barlow and Anne Thalheimer, with whom I also co-edited its one anthology to date. My work has also appeared in some anthologies I didn’t co-edit, such as Always Comix, Candy or Medicine, and Secrets & Lies.

I was born in Keene, NH in 1977, attended the life-changing Mountain School program in 1994, graduated from Bard College in 2000, and lived in Portland, ME for a couple of years. I have worked in a medical supplies factory, a hotel, a financial aid office, a greyhound track, a non-profit citizen action organization, a greenhouse, two green construction companies, and a real estate title abstractor. I have worked (very briefly) for an absent-minded Marxist professor with a filing system only he knew how to use, and I have, along with composer Jacob Feinberg, worked for a cross-dressing stonemason. I am an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, available for weddings and other functions.

As obscure as some of my interests may seem, when you get down to it my favorite things in life are pretty basic, namely food & lovin’.
